And, Jim is tired. Can't blame him. He not only has to drive this mega-bus towing my sweet little honda, he has to watch as I occasionally eek, and wiggle, crunch up my toes and wrinkle my face in horror. I have forgotten how scared I get when we 'get too close to the shoulder of the road.'
We left Norwood this morning at 9:55. Our first stop was at the entrance to 95 for a gasup. We stopped once again just before the Florida line to get more gas and some milk! A trucker's size of milk. Never seen a container of milk that size, in a 1/2 gallon looking container and maybe holding a cup of milk! Too cute, and, by the way, pretty expensive. Also, the Petro Store we stopped in for this last stop, would be a truck driver's heaven. There was funky music playing and every truck type gadget you can imagine. Also, I noticed at the checkout, a HUGE box of Stovall Chocolates, probably 2 feet by 2 feet, for that trucker to take home to his Valentine.
We have already had to call Tiffany and Chip twice for things we forgot to do. What would we do without their backup?
We pulled in here at the Florida Welcome Center at 4:55 p.m. and already there were a lot of campers bedded down for the night. Can't beat being welcomed into Florida like this - a free place to stay after a long day of driving.
We just had our bowl of chicken noodles (prepared last night in Norwood) and are going to settle in for a little t.v.
As most of you know, I always sleep well! :) Hopefully, Jim will be able to sleep. As I type this, I am watching campers and their toads (the cars they are pulling - we like to call our car the dinghy) pulling in one by one. What a deal!!!!
As this is the first time I have used Jim's laptop since last spring, I'm trying to get used to it, and am going to try and post the pictures. One from just before we left Norwood this morning, and the last two of the camper and the welcome center here at the threshold of Florida.
