Good Morning, again, from Fiesta Key,
We have more than enjoyed our day and 1/2 here at Fiesta Key with friends. Vickie took her husband, Jim, down to the airport in Key West yesterday. And, as he had never been to Key West, they made a day trip out of their airport destination.
We were fortunate to spend the morning with Bill.  Bill, in his chair, Jim and I walking, we discovered, with Bill, all the little nooks and crannies of this campground.  There is a point, located on the lower end from where we are, that has a large cement pad, a tiki building and lots of room to watch the sunset, totally over the water, the Gulf of Mexico. I had every intention of going back down there last night for a photo op, and just didn't make it.  We spent about an hour down there simply looking over the water, watching some sailboats, and even getting to watch some birds finding their dinner in the shallows.
Again, I want to say, this is a beautiful facility.  Bill pointed out all the things they do not have now, from when he and George Lou were here a few years  ago.  If they can get the campers back in, maybe they will be able to afford the little extras that help campers get to know each other.  Kind of like "if you build it, they will come."
We had a quiet afternoon.  I finished up some things online that I needed to take care of - last minute items left over from Norwood.  We read some magazines and before you knew it, it was time for cocktails with Bill.  After visiting with Bill, Jim and I enjoyed the remainder of our chicken/noodles, I squirreled into the bed for a little t.v. and Jim stretched out on the couch.
As I type, Jim is outside getting the camper ready for our next adventure.  This morning we plan to get to Walt and Hillary's with their furniture, then on to Lazy Lakes which will be our home for a while.
I'll let you know about getting this camper into Hillary and Walt's residential neighborhood! Hopefully, there will be no hiccups with this long, long bus, the car and the armoire in the car.  All the furniture we are carrying on board is relatively easy.
Off to finish off our breakfast dishes and see what I can do to help Jim.
Cruising on down the keys,
jim and karen
